For the 3rd year in a row, Stone Bridge won a Regional Playoff game to advance to the Quarterfinals of Region 5A. The Bulldogs hosted Massaponax who came to Ashburn with an impressive 17-7 record. The Bulldogs jumped out to an 8 point lead at the half led by Ben Kling's five 3 point shots. The lead to stretched to 15 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Massaponax fought valiantly to cut the lead to 7 on two occasions, but the Bulldogs held strong and closed out the win with an 11 point margin. Evan Buckley led the way with 23 points and 10 assists, Ben Kling finished with 19 points, and James DiLuigi scored 13 of his 15 points in the 2nd half. Mark Williams dominated the boards with 15 rebounds along with 7 points. Freshmen Tyler Warden knocked in two early threes to get the game going and finished with 9 points. Shane Foster came off the bench to grab 3 big rebounds and also scored 2 points.
