Stone Bridge Bulldog Golfers score their first win in the 2015 season:
The Stone Bridge Bulldog varsity golf team defeated a very good Briarwoods team at their home course on Thursday, August 6, 2015. The Bulldogs won by three strokes after the 18 hole match at Brambleton Golf Course, by a score of 315 to 318. Scoring for the Bulldogs: Brandon Locke, 75; Logan Goodrich, 76; Matt Kapusta, 82, and Cam Bender, 82. Eli Robertson and Brandon Lisciandro also played for the Bulldogs. Coach Mark Mjoness is excited about the Bulldog Golf Team's potential as the Bulldogs begin their season with a 1-0 record. "We have at least seven players who are very capable of shooting in the 70s," said Coach Mjoness.
Coming up for the Bulldogs the week of August 10, 2015: Defending their championship title at the George Pavlis Memorial Tournament sponsored by McLean High School at Hidden Creek Country Club on Monday, August 10; the Loudoun County Public Schools High School Tournament at Algonkian Golf Course on Wednesday, August 12, and an 18 hole match vs Broad Run High School at home course Belmont Country Club on Thursday, August 13.
