Our team did not know that today was the rescheduled match from yesterday rain cancellation.  We were practicing on courts playing our challenge matches then we saw the bus with players from Broad Run team.  We then had to call some of our top 6 players who were not there to come and play the match.  Some of our players were supposed to leave early for our usual end of practice at 6PM, but the Coach made the players to stay back to finish the match then they can be excused.

We wasted no time with our first win from #3 Singles Brendan Soh with score of 8-2, follow by #5 Singles win from Saurav Chemudu 8-1 and #4 Singles Eric Bailey 9-7 who just recovered from injury sidelined for most of the season.  This is Eric first match back since injury to his arm from Spring Break.  He can still hit ground strokes and didn't need to serve underhand.  Our #6 Singles Rohan Malladi had trouble with the opponent who was a counter puncher and returned every shot.   Rohan was trailing 0-3 in games, but Coach Huong stayed and helped Rohan turn it around at 4-3, but then Rohan couldn't win those deuce games and lost 4-8.  Our #1 Singles Brandon Venable and #2 Singles Brad Papalardo played a very close match, but couldn't close it out with loss 6-8 and 7-9 respectively.   

With the score tie at 3-3, we knew we had to win #2 & #3 doubles in order to cling the match like last time and we did it with the win from #2 Doubles team of Brendan Soh & Rohan Malladi 8-1 and #3 Doubles team of Eric Bailey & Saurav Chemudu 8-1.  Our #1 Doubles team of Brandon Venable & Brad Pappalardo were up 6-5 but couldn't convert and lost close match 6-8.  Even though the Bulldogs were not expected to play in today's match, everyone played at a very high level.
