The Stone Bridge girls soccer team earned a win against Fairfax at home on Tuesday night with a final score of 7-0. Less than four minutes into the game, Freshman Emily Fox scored her first goal of her high school career. Sophomore Lindsay Gallagher sent her a through ball and Fox dribbled the ball before sending it past the keeper. Midway through the first half, Gallagher sent a ball out wide to Junior Carissa Showalter who dribbled the ball down the field before scoring. Fox then connected with Freshman Alexandra Addington for her second goal of the season. Before the half ended, Senior Nieko Ridley scored twice with assists from Addington and Fox. To start the second half, Fox dribbled the ball down the side and shot it over the keeper's head. Freshman Marilyn Cardenas Paredes scored the final goal in the last two minutes of the game .
Junior Hailey Corpe earned her second shutout of the season by making five saves in in goal for the Bulldogs. The win was a complete team effort and the team will play again on Friday night when they travel to Langley High School.
