The Stone Bridge girls soccer team suffered its first loss of the season by falling to Chantilly by a score of 2-1. Chantilly scored its two goals back to back in the middle of the first half. Down 2-0 at halftime, the Bulldogs came out strong to start the second half. Sixteen seconds into the half, freshman Emily Fox received the kickoff from sophomore Lindsay Gallagher and dribbled the ball down past Chantilly’s defenders to shoot and score. Junior Hailey Corpe had 6 saves on the night.
With the loss, the team falls to 8-1 on the season and looks to start Conference 14 play next week. They will travel to Tuscarora on Tuesday night.
