The boys soccer hosted the Robinson Rams on Wednesday night and came away with a 1-1 overtime tie. Junior Robinson forward Filip Mayernick scored with 3:30 to play in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Stone Bridge junior forward Eamon Finan tied the game off an assist from sophomore midfielder Paul Schierling to tie the game with 17:35 to play in regulation.
Both teams created chances to win the match but could not capitalize. Bulldog Senior goalkeeper Gene Yim was once again strong in goal registering 15 saves, several point blank shots to thwart a Robinson win. Stone Bridge now stands at 1-0-1 on the season.
The Bulldogs are off until Monday, April 2 when they host South County in a make-up game from March 12.
