Boys Varsity Soccer vs. SOUTH LAKES HS

The Stone Bridge boys soccer team traveled to play South Lakes in the first round of the Liberty District tournament on Monday night and fell to the Seahawks by a score of 5-2. South Lakes took a early two goal 10 minutes into the game but the Bulldogs pulled one back on a goal from Senior Tyler Anderson on an assist from Senior Brendan Smedley just before the half.

The Bulldogs came out creating several good opportunities but could not find the final shot to equalize. South Lakes scored two goals midway through the half to push the lead to 4-1. The Bulldogs once again fought back with Brendan Smedley getting a goal off an assist from Tyler Anderson to cut the lead 4-2 with 16 minutes to play but that is as close as the Bulldogs would get as the Seahawks finished the game off on a penalty kick.

The Bulldogs completed its season with an overall record of 3-8-3. We wish seniors Gene Yim, Tyler Anderson, Angel Cruz, David Kemp, Josue Flores, Alex Brothers, Garrett Nekic, Josh Dajani, Freddy Nianduilet, Aaron Giffen, Matt Marroquin, Brendan Smedley the best in all their future endeavors and for representing Stone Bridge with class both on and off the field
