The Stone Bridge boys soccer team hosted its final regular season match against Liberty District rival McLean. McLean, who was ranked #3 in the current Region Poll coming into the game, fell to the Bulldogs by a score of 4-1. With the win Stone Bridge's overall record now stands at 7-1-4 and 5-1-1 in Liberty District play assuring themselves a number two seed in the next week's Liberty District tournament.
Tuesday's match also was Senior Night and "Kicks for Cancer" benefit game. Ryan Buckley tallied two goals, Tommy Dunne picked up a goal and two assists, David Saihati picked up his first goal on the season and Brad Wood contributed an assist on the evening. Tommy Dunne set a school record for most assists on the season with 12. Abe Yoslov picked his seventh win on the year stopping three McLean shots.
The Bulldogs will host a first round Liberty match on Monday and will play after the girls Liberty District game. Game time for the girls is slated for 5:00 PM and the boys at 7 PM.
