Congratulations to the Stone Bridge Boys soccer team in their dramatic 1-0 win over South Lakes in the Liberty District in semi-finals at Fairfax HS. Luke Schierling scored his seventh goal of the season off a long throw-in from Tommy Dunne, his 14th assists on the season, with 3:24 to play in the third OT for the golden goal win (sudden victory). Abe Yoslov stopped 9 South Lakes shots and picked up his 8th full shutout and the team's 9th on the season. With the win the team improves to 9-1-4 on the season and advances to the Liberty District finals against #1 seed Langley HS to be played Friday, May 20th.
The Bulldogs and Saxons will kick off at 6 PM with the game to be played at McLean HS and will be followed by the girls Liberty District finals game which features #1 Stone Bridge against #3 McLean at 8 PM.
