The Stone Bridge Boys soccer team traveled to Langley to take on the Saxons a former Liberty District opponent in a challenging and physical match Friday night and came up a bit short losing 2-0. Langley scored two goals in a three minute time frame in the middle of the first half to bring home the win. The Bulldogs hung tough in the match and had a few scoring opportunities in the second half to try and get back in the game but the Saxon keeper came up big on a couple key saves to keep the Saxons in the match.
Tyler Martin had a very strong second half coming up with several saves as well and ending with 7 saves on the evening. Griffin Cyphers also had a very good game for Stone Bridge. The boys will play on Monday in their first Conference 14 match of the spring season. The boys play at 8 PM in the Kicks for Cancer double header with the Varsity girls kicking off at 6.
The team record now stands at 1-4 on the year.
