Hagerstown, MD - After a layoff over the holidays, several members of the Stone Bridge wrestling team started 2024 with strong performances at the Hub Cup tournament at North Hagerstown High School. The tournament featured teams from Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, and Virginia. Originally set as a two-day tournament, the organizers had to convert it into a one-day tourney. Despite the grueling schedule, several Bulldogs reached the podium, and the team placed 9th / 19 teams.
Sophomore Will Brooks and senior Nic Dimond went on great runs to the finals to take second place and post a 3-1 record on the day.
Senior starter Jonathon Korte earned three wins on the day and took fourth at 175 pounds in his first action of 2024.
Daniel Pedralvez and Isaac Hall advanced through the brackets to take fifth and sixth, respectively, in their weight classes (144lbs, 126lbs.), with each claiming victories throughout the day.

The Bulldogs will return to dual action next Tuesday when they welcome Light Ridge High School for a conference dual at 7pm.
