Biography:
Coach Newton brings over 15 years of cheerleading exprience with him to Stone Bridge. A 13 year Head Instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Association, he has taught, choreographed, and judged at the high school, college, and all star levels.
Coach Newton cheered for Bridgewater State College of Massachusetts from 2004-2006, and for Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania from 2008-2010. While in Boston, he cheered as a member of the Boston Celtics Green Team, and spent two seasons as a member of the SLAMrocks Dunk Team.
After completing his degree in 2011, Coach Newton moved to New Jersey where he coached Hunterdon Central High School. Upon moving to Virginia, he became the Director of Tumbling and Trampoline at APEX Gymnastics in Leesburg. Currently, he is teaching 6th and 7th grade Health and Physical Education at J. Michael Lunsford Middle School in South Riding.

Biography:
My name is Coach Bear and this is my second year coaching cheerleading at Stone Bridge High School. I am an alumni of Potomac Falls High School and currently live in Brambleton, VA.
At PFHS I cheered for both fall and winter seasons and was a part of the competition squad. While in high school I also cheered with Cheer Shock All Stars and am currently helping to coach their junior team.
I graduated from West Virginia University in May 2009 with a Bachelors in Multi-disciplinary Studies and a Masters in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education. After graduation I returned to Loudoun County and obtained my teaching license for Virginia. I began my teaching career at Seldens Landing Elementary School, four years ago, as a Cross-Categorical teacher and currently work with second and third graders.
I am very excited to be a part of the SBHS Cheerleading program and am looking forward to a great season!
