The Bulldog Swim Team had a good first meet against South Lakes High School at Claude Moore Saturday December 7th.  Two men broke a school record at the meet; Michael Kost broke the 200 Individual Medley record with a 2:05.19 and Danny Marron broke the 100 Breaststroke record with a 1:04.19. Great job guys for earning  Swimmers of the Meet!

We were fortunate to get new warm ups for the team this year. I hope that the swimmers are enjoying their brand new Under Armor sets.  We have a unique opportunity this year to sell off our old model of warm up. Many of the swimmers indicated that they would like to keep the warm ups. Unfortunately, we cannot replace them every year, but we will be selling off the older warm ups as a fundraiser for the team. This is also a great idea for the colder outdoor practices as they are fleece lined. ((And since Coach Koltz told the swimmers they CANNOT wear their new warm ups during dry land practices.))

Tuesday & Thursday: Claude Moore for MANDATORY Swim Practice 

Tuesday Practice: 6:30-8 pm (Bus leaves @ 6 by athletic office, returns @ 8:30 pm from the HS)

Thursday Practice: 5-6:30 pm (Bus leaves @ 4:30 by athletic office, returns @ 7:15 pm from the HS)

Wednesday: MANDATORY dry land practice, meeting on track to warm up @ 4:30-5:30 pm

• Swim practices will be held at Claude Moore Pool on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the regular season months (Nov-Feb)
• Dry land practices will be held at the HS on Mondays & Wednesdays during the regular season months (Nov-Jan)... We will always have the cafeteria for space for practices but we will try to head outdoors when the weather is nice, so dress for the weather!  Remember, you MUST ATTEND ONE of the two practices held during the week.

Thursday, November 21, 4pm @ SBHS: Picture Day

Hope you all are ready for the start of the swim season because it's right around the corner!  Tryouts will be held the week of 11/11/13 (Just 10 days away!)  

You will be required to attend:

• All swim practices since there are only 2 per week.
• One of the two dry land practices held during the week

This will be the schedule for the week of tryouts and the remainder of the season:

Monday: Dry land 4:30-5:30 (Meeting by the gym/weight room)

Tuesday: SWIM PRACTICE - Bus to Claude Moore leaves @ 6.

• Be ready to be in the pool from 6:30-8. Bus returns @ 8:30.

Wednesday: Dry land 4:30-5:30 (REQUIRED TO ATTEND ON 11/13)

Thursday: SWIM PRACTICE- Bus to Claude Moore leaves @ 4:30.

• Be ready to be in the pool from 5-6:30. Bus returns @ 7:15.

Coach Katherine and myself will be at Stone Bridge HS this Tuesday (10/22) & Thursday (10/24) for ALL potential swimmers to try on our new Finis Brand swim suits for the season.  Please try on a suit if you're interested in being on the team, I know it's early but we need to have suits ordered and ready ASAP after the start of the season. We are not sure if we will have to make cuts yet until tryouts are held on Tuesday 11/12 & Thursday 11/14.

Where? Outside the athletic director's office

It will only take you a few minutes tops to try on suits. They fit differently then your past year's suits. I have also provided the logo for the suits.  See you this week, Go Bulldogs!
