Biography:
This is Coach West's third year as the head coach at Stone Bridge High School, and 11th season coaching high school basketball in Northern Virginia. Previously, he coached as a Varsity assistant ('03-'05) at W.T. Woodson High school (Fairfax, VA), and as JV head coach ('05-'09) and Varsity assistant coach ('09-'11) at South County High School (Lorton, VA). Growing up in a Navy family (father is retired Admiral Richard West), Coach West lived and played basketball in two different countries (US & Italy), and 4 different states (VA, FL, CA, R.I.). After graduating from W.T. Woodson in 1997 where he played basketball for Coach "Red" Jenkins, he attended Penn State University on an Air Force ROTC scholarship, before transferring to Oneonta State College (NY) for basketball. This is Coach West's 10th year as a teacher and he currently teaches Earth Science at Stone Bridge HS and lives in Ashburn, VA.
Biography:
This is Coach Poumade's third year at Stone Bridge High School and 14th season coaching high-school basketball in Northern Virginia. Previously, he coached at W.T. Woodson High School (Fairfax, VA) for ten years and South County HS (Lorton, VA) for two years. Coach Poumade (pronounced "Pom-a-dee") has worked in all capacities throughout his coaching career, including Varsity assistant coach (4 yrs), Freshman Head Coach (4 yrs), JV assistant coach (1 yr), and Freshman assistant coach (5 years). Coach Poumade is a 1998 alum of W.T. Woodson HS where he played basketball, and went on to graduate from Michigan State University. He is in his 9th year as a teacher and currently teaches Physical Education at Franklin Middle School in Chantilly, and lives in Centreville with his wife Stephanie, and their son Aiden.
